Meet Tala. Tala is the friendliest one of the bunch and she loves to give kisses. As you can see, Tala is one beautiful wolfdog. She is approximately 95% wolf and is quite big for a female. We haven't weighed her in sometime because she is so big, however, she weighed 110lbs. at less than a year old. Tala's mate will be Chief, who is owned by our good friends at Texas Wolves. (www.texaswolves.com ) She has grown to be quite an Alpha. If you guessed that Miss Tala is our "water baby", you were right! She loves to play in the water. When she was little she liked to splash all the water out her water bowl, as does her little sister! As she grew, she liked to climb in the water barrel and just sit there, so we dug a pond for her and the others to play in. She usually plays in the water everyday, as you can tell from the dates on the pictures below, no matter the temperature. She used to be in the habitat with Chenoa and Timber. She assumed the role of beta puppy-sitter when Chenoa had her pups. She has her own pack now in her own habitat. She has assumed the role of alpha female for the pack. Tala's sister and pack mate is Kiona. Tala and Kiona share many of the same qualities and Tala likes to be the boss of Kiona. Tala's other pack mate is Sage, they like to argue, but never fight. Tala is nearly three-years-old now and hopefully she will have her first litter with Chief in late 2007 or early spring of 2008. To View Chief, log on to Texas Wolves web site link above!
